Our Services

Wills
Talking about inheritance may be an awkward conversation to have, or seem like something to do in the far future.
But having a valid and up-to-date Will ensures that your loved ones avoid uncertainty regarding your estate.
Planning ahead helps families to manage this difficult time, without having to worry about your wishes, or becoming entangled in complicated legal processes.
If you were to die intestate (without a Will), the law decides who gets your money, property and possessions.
Your estate may be liable to pay a higher rate of inheritance tax without a Will.
Lucy Sibley Wills and Probate will help you to write your Will, without hassle, confusing jargon or costly fees.
Lasting Powers of Attorney
A Lasting Power of Attorney (or LPA) allows you to appoint a trusted individual to manage your affairs should you become unable to do so.
There are two types of LPA, one covering property and financial affairs, the other covering health and welfare.
Your appointed attorney(s) can then make decisions on your behalf concerning housing, property and finance, without the need for lengthy court orders, or uncertainty.
Both types of LPA need to be registered with the Office of the Public Guardian.
Lucy can assist with preparing and approving your documentation via a home visit, or via video conferencing.

Estate Administration
Estate Administration or Probate, is the process of dealing with the finances, property and possessions of a person who has died.
Before the assets can be distributed, the deceased's family may have to apply for Probate. This process can be costly and complicated.
You may need Probate depending on the size of your estate. Your bank or financial provider will have their limits and requirements.
Probate may be needed to sell a house if it is solely in the deceased person's name.
Lucy will be able to talk you through the Estate Administration and Probate process and help to find the right solution for your estate and family.

What our clients say about Lucy Sibley Wills & Probate

Lucy Tregunna
"Lucy Sibley gave us clarity and insight into a truly perplexing Probate issue. There is no way we would have found our way through the minefield without her expertise. She guided us every step of the way and kept us informed at every stage. I can heartily and unreservedly recommend her and can never thank her enough for her incredible support."
Shelly Jennings
"Highly recommended. If, like me, this is a subject you avoid, I totally recommend Lucy. She put me at ease with her kind and helpful manner and deep knowledge of this subject. I am very grateful for the time Lucy spent explaining all the different areas to a Will, which then allows decisions to be made as to what you need to keep in or add to a new or existing Will."
Liz Gaillard
"Lucy is very good at what she does. She is professional but also very friendly and easy to talk to. She explained everything to us clearly and didn't mind us asking loads of questions. She came to our home and took her time completing the paperwork, making sure we understood everything. She offers a very reasonably priced service, and it has given us real peace of mind knowing that we have got everything in order should anything happen to us. We would definitely recommend."
